MortgageSolvers ("we", "us") is a mortgage team operating under Pineapple Financial Inc., FSRA Brokerage Licence #12830. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Information we collect
- What you tell us. Your answers to our questionnaire (for example, whether you own a home and what you need financing for), your name, email address, phone number and the province your property is in.
- How you found us. The ad or link you clicked (for example, campaign tags and ad click identifiers) and the page you came from.
- How you used the page. Which questions you viewed and answered. If you leave before submitting, we record only that a contact field was filled in. We never store your name, email or phone number unless you submit the form.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads and Meta (Facebook) tools to measure visits and the performance of our ads. You can turn these off in your browser settings or at adssettings.google.com and facebook.com/adpreferences.
How we use it
- To contact you by phone, text message or email about the mortgage options you asked about.
- To assess your situation and, with your permission, present your application to lenders.
- To measure and improve our website and advertising. This includes sending securely hashed (scrambled) contact details to Google and Meta so they can tell us which ads led to enquiries.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations as a licensed mortgage brokerage.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
- Pineapple Financial Inc., our licensed brokerage.
- Lenders and their agents, only when you ask us to pursue financing for you.
- Service providers that run our systems for us, such as our customer-relationship, phone and text-messaging, email, form-processing and hosting providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us. Some of them store data outside Canada, where it may be accessible to local authorities under local law.
- Regulators or authorities, when the law requires it.
Calls, texts and emails
When you submit the form, you agree that we may contact you about your enquiry by phone, text or email. You can withdraw that consent at any time: reply STOP to any text, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact us using the details below.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it to serve you and to meet our record-keeping obligations under mortgage brokerage regulations. After that, we securely delete it or remove anything that identifies you.
Security
This site uses HTTPS encryption. Access to your information is limited to staff and service providers who need it, and every system that stores it requires a login.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, or withdraw your consent to how we use it. Contact our privacy officer:
